Conference Summary
The LGS Foundation UK's First National Conference on Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome was held from 3rd June - 4th June 2017 at the Sheraton Heathrow Hotel. The conference was held in partnership with the LGS Foundation U.S.A. and sponsored by GW Pharmaceuticals.
The two-day meeting covered a wide range of topics, presented by some of the best and brightest speakers in the field. How often do you organise a conference in the UK?
2017 is our inaugural conference on LGS in the United Kingdom. We hope this meeting is a big success so we may repeat the meeting around the UK and EU in years to come.
Are children welcome?
Children are welcome to attend. There will be a space outside of the meeting room for children to play but formal childcare is not provided. Children and adults with LGS are free to attend.
I can't afford registration but would like to attend. Can you help?
Please email christina@lgsfoundation.org if you require financial assistance to cover registration and possibly one night hotel accommodation. This is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Is this conference only open to families in the UK?
This conference is open to LGS families around the world. However, there will be one session dedicated to UK services and resources that you may wish to skip if you don't feel it is applicable to you.
Are epilepsy professionals welcome?
Epilepsy professionals, carers, educators, scientists, and others who have an interest in LGS are more than welcome to attend.
